Gary Dell Hudmon, 81, died April 23, 2013, at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
He was born in Opelika, Ala., and lived in Vero Beach for 53 years, coming from his birthplace.
He was the owner and operator of Hudmon Tree Service in Vero Beach since 1960.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Mabel Nettles Hudmon; sons, Grady Hudmon and James M. Hudmon, both of Vero Beach, and Kent Hudmon, of Melbourne; daughter, Rita Dismukes, of Wartrace, Tenn.; and stepson, Jack Perko, of North Carolina; brother, James Hudmon, of Beulah, Ala.; and sisters, Frances Gleason and Martha Hudmon, of Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gary David Hudmon.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. April 28 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home.
