CAMERA: Random Pixels – fish heads, food, and a spider web

On my assignments last week, here are a few photos that didn’t make it into the coverage or were off beat from the focus of the story.

During the Sundowner Concert, as I was working the scene, I noticed the light hitting a small spider web with a background splash of color from the Vero Beach Museum of Art Sculpture Park. One shot I missed while walking out, was what I believed to be a rat snake I almost stepped on. In that instance I was with Indiana Jones, “I hate snakes.”

Keeping with the wildlife theme that seemed to appear last week, I photographed a mounted fish skeleton at the Coastal Conservation Banquet. I have to admit, it caught me off guard.

Last but not least, I remembered an old lesson; don’t photograph a food assignment hungry. That lesson came up during my Taste of Vero shoot. Between the Disney Resort’s ribs and Cork & Tapas’ paella, the granola bar in my bag just didn’t cut it.
