I knew it was coming and it made my stomach flip. Nothing I like to see right after breakfast and before I’ve finished my first cup of coffee.
From facebook:
- We’ve made some updates to how your timeline looks. Your posts and life events are on the right, with everything else on the left.
- Your all-new About page makes it easier to show friends the things you care about.
I know that a lot of people are saying to themselves, “here we go again.”
But, at first glance it isn’t as jarring as the old facebook when it switched to timeline.
Like the rumors and talk I’ve heard/read, they have made the visuals more dominant which I don’t mind. But, they’ve split your profile into two columns. My first impression of the new layout isn’t a good one.
I feel you lose real estate for your posts, if people wanted to know other information about me they knew to click on the tabs.
In the end though, I feel nothing will stay the same and we must accept change, and get used to it. If you don’t like it, there’s always Google+
