William Leonard Burt, 91, died March 12, 2013, at home.
He was born in Taunton, Mass., and moved to Vero Beach in 1989, coming from Maine.
He was a chief petty officer in the Navy for 20 years.
Before retirement, he had a career in civil service.
Survivors include his daughter, Cindi Morrison, of Little Rock, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Priscilla J. Burt, in 2010.
He was a volunteer at Indian River Medical Center as a member of the Vero Beach Organ Club and the MENSA society.
He was a computer consultant.

No memorial service was conducted.
His ashes were scattered at sea.
