Wayne Douglas Booth, 49, Sebastian

Wayne Douglas Booth, 49, died April 9, 2013, at Sebastian River Medical Center, Roseland.

He was born in Bay Shore, N.Y., and lived in Sebastian for 24 years, coming from Pompano Beach.

He was a Navy veteran, serving on the aircraft carrier USS Independence.

He was employed by T Kat Services for 10 years as a painter.

He was a graduate of Deerfield Beach High School.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Vicki Booth, of Sebastian; son, Timothy Booth, of Sebastian; parents, Jonathan A. and Judith Booth, of Gadsden, Ala.; and brother, Kenneth A. Booth, of Archdale, N.C.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jonathan “Jackie” A. Booth Jr.

Memorial contributions may to be made to Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 12 at Strunk Funeral Home in Sebastian, followed at 1:30 p.m. by a military honors service conducted by the Sebastian Area Veterans’ Honor Guard in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow at Sebastian Cemetery.
