Ferd E. Weishaupt, 79, died April 9, 2013, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He was born in Grove City, Ohio, and lived in Vero Beach for four years, coming from West Palm Beach.
Before retirement, he was a supervisor in the engineering department for Florida Power & Light Co.
He was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Patty, of Vero Beach; sons, Brad Weishaupt, of Jupiter and Kevin Weishaupt, of Lake Worth; brother, Charles Weishaupt, of Quincy, Colo.; sister, Virginia Brown, of Port Richey; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. April 14 at Indian River Estates Chapel in Vero Beach.
