Thomas J. Hart, 75, died April 4, 2013, at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
He was born in Hartford, Conn., and had been a winter resident of Vero Beach for 22 years, coming from Vernon, Conn.
He was a graduate of Weaver High School, Hartford.
He was a veteran serving in the Army.
He worked as an electrician for the Hartford School Board for 35 years before his retirement in 1994.
He attended Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach, and was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Manchester, Conn.
He was a lifetime member of the Irish American Home Society, Glastonbury, Conn., and Elks Lodge No. 1774, Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Patsy Hart of Vero Beach and Vernon, Conn.; sons, Aidan Dockery of Chambersburg, Pa., and Brian Dockery of Enfield, Conn.; daughter, Maria Hart of South Windsor, Conn.; sister, Carol Ritchie of East Hartford, Conn.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Bridget Hart; and a sister, Mary Hart.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. April 8 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
