America’s Most Wanted featured fugitive arrested in Indian River County

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — America’s Most Wanted can take one more fugitive off their list after Indian River County Sheriff’s arrested Karen Lynn King.

On Saturday, April, 6, 2013, at approximately 10:30PM, deputies from the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office arrested wanted subject King. King was at the home of her boyfriend, Aziz Munir, who was renting a condo at the Dunes House in the Sea Oaks community in the 8800 block of N. Sea Oaks Way.

King was wanted for crimes in Alabama and had warrants for aggravated assault with intent to murder, aggravated battery with intent to disfigure, kidnapping, armed robbery, and various drug related charges.

A caller wishing to remain anonymous contacted our communication center and indicated that King, who was featured on the America’s Most Wanted Web site, may be at the Sea Oaks location.

Deputies and detectives conducted surveillance on the residence for a brief time and observed Munir leave to walk his dog. They met with him a short distance from the condo and he confirmed that King was in the home. Deputies entered the residence and King surrendered without incident.

King had changed her hair color to blonde since the photo of her featured on AMW was taken. She was also in possession of several forms of ID and credit cards which were in names other than her own.

Additional charges for King may be forthcoming. Munir was not charged with an offense as of last night.

King is being held in the Indian River County Jail pending extradition.
