Environmental Learning Center receives donation from VB Power Squadron

VERO BEACH — The Annual EcoFest Celebration at the Environmental Learning Center took place on March 3. Admission was free, and participants enjoyed music, crafts, live animals, and educational booths.

Vero Beach Power Squadron cooked and served hot dogs and hamburgers and donated the proceeds to the ELC.

Judy Peschio, Commander of the Vero Beach Power Squadron, along with Ed Carr, also from the Squadron, presented a check to Holly Dill, Executive Director of the ELC.

The Environmental Learning Center is located north of Vero Beach off CR 510 at the western end of the Wabasso Bridge. Its 64 acre island campus includes boardwalk trails through mangrove forests, a native plant garden, a butterfly garden, and a visitor center with a gift shop.
