Camp Haven receives a memorial gift

VERO BEACH — The Community Church of Vero Beach recently presented a memorial gift of $2,500 to Camp Haven in the name of Bob Lawton. Bob served as Director of Missions from 2006 – 2011. He shared a deep commitment to addressing the homeless in Indian River County. Bob was a supporter of community efforts to develop Camp Haven.

“We’re so grateful when the community thinks of us as place to leave a legacy. Doing a good deed is a wonderful way to commemorate the life of a person,” said Lalita Janke, Camp Haven Board President.

According to Rev. Dave Phillips, Community Church has a long and outstanding tradition of community outreach in Indian River County and beyond. The church is a proud partner with Camp Haven in addressing the needs of the homeless.

“We appreciate the generosity of Community Church and our community partners for their support and efforts to making Camp Haven a reality,” commented Dennis Bartholomew, Camp Haven CEO.
