Sample savory dishes and learn about culinary careers

VERO BEACH — Find out about an education that can lead to a five-star future at the Indian River State College Culinary Institute Open House on Thursday, April 4, at 6 p.m.

The Culinary Institute of the Treasure Coast is located at the IRSC Mueller Campus at 6155 College Ln. in Vero Beach. IRSC culinary students will have cooking stations set up and will be sampling out a dish of their choice in a savory student showcase.

Program information, financial aid representatives, and tours of the facilities will be available for attendees.

This two-year, full time, selective admissions program leads to an Associate in Applied Science degree in Restaurant Management with a Culinary Arts Specialty. Paid internships allow students the opportunity to gain hands-on job skills while working side by side with top industry professionals in the field.

This practical experience, combined with the rigorous educational training, enables students the opportunity to build strong career portfolios and build solid contacts and references for rewarding employment.
