Josephine A. Standley-Switlik, 99, Vero Beach

Josephine A. Standley-Switlik, 99, died March 18, 2013, at home.

She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach for three years coming from Marathon.

She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University.

She attended Holy Cross Catholic Church.

Survivors include her son, Stephen Standley, of Vero Beach; daughters, Anita Rutkoske, of Fort Pierce, and JoAnna O’Keefe, of Melbourne; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lloyd Standley and Stanley Switlik.

Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. March 27 at Holy Cross Catholic Church.

A reception will follow Mass at the Spanish Lakes Fairways Clubhouse in Fort Pierce.

Interment will be in Long Island, New York at a later date.
