VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach Police Department will be hosting Spring Break RAD Kids classes beginning March 25 through March 28.
RAD Kids classes are taught nationwide in an effort to teach children how to avoid dangerous personal safety situations. The students are offered a vast array of personal safety information combined with hands on instruction on how to physically escape an abductor, bully, or “bad stranger.”
The classes are divided into two age groups and will be held during the following times:
Ages 5-7 from 9-10:30 a.m.
Ages 8-12 from 2-3:30 p.m.
This is a four day class lasting 90 minutes each day. Students are required to attend all classes.
Students must wear sneakers or tennis shoes, pants, and a shirt every day of class.
PLEASE, NO: jewelry, hats, flip flops, heelys, boots, high heels, sandals, or dresses.
Class size is limited to a minimum of 8 students, with a maximum of 15.
These classes will be held at Vero Beach PBA Club House, 4401 41st St. in Vero Beach.
The instructor for this class will be Ofc. John Morrison of the Vero Beach Police Department.
