James Robert Koch, 72, died March 15, 2013, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
He was born in Chicago and moved to Vero Beach 14 years ago, coming from Lake Geneva, Wis.
He worked in the construction industry as a general contractor in Wisconsin, Illinois and Florida.
He was a member of the First Church of God, Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife, Kolette Koch; sons, J.R. Koch and Joseph Koch, both of Vero Beach; stepson, Army Sgt. Joshua White, stationed in South Korea; and sister, Sandra Hafton of Vero Beach.
Services will be private.
