VBYC silent auction benefits homeless and needy

VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach Yacht Club is hosting its 1st Annual Silent Auction Fundraiser that will benefit The Source. The Source is a Christian Outreach Ministry serving those less fortunate in Indian River County.

They provide a service unlike any other in the area, standing on the front lines to rescue and restore our community’s most vulnerable residents while providing compassionate care and changing lives.

The doors of The Source open six days a week to provide people in crisis with help and hope. The Source offers daily hot meals, personal ministry, support groups, and a host of other services.

The Vero Beach Yacht Club’s 1st Annual Silent Auction will be held on March 17 from 4-8 p.m. The evening will include heavy hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and a live performance by the Vero Beach High School String Quartet.

Ticket price is $75 per person.

We hope that you will support this fundraiser by donating an item of value for auction or a cash contribution. For donation information, please call Woody and Karen Boarman at (772) 770-0028.

Seating is limited.

“We’re very happy to have such strong support from an organization that has been a staple in our community for over 80 years,” said Executive Director Dennis Bartholomew.
