Joyce Jeanne Gentile, 89, Vero Beach

Joyce Jeanne Gentile, 89, died March 4, 2013, at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.

She was born in Chicago and lived in Vero Beach for 52 years, coming from her birthplace.

She and her husband owned and operated the Tower Restaurant and the V.I.P. Restaurant in Vero Beach.

She retired from Piper Aircraft after 12 years.

She was of the Catholic faith.

She a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Vero Beach, Fraternal Order of Police in Vero Beach, American Legion in Fort Pierce and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1541 in Vero Beach.

She volunteered at the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County.

Survivors include her son, Frank N. Gentile, of Fort Pierce; daughters, Patricia Turnage, Linda Hearndon and Gale Gentile, all of Vero Beach; brother, Joseph DeCroocq, of Winnetka, Ill.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Frank Gentile.
