VERO BEACH — Joseph Robinson, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Indian River County Healthy Start Coalition (IRCHSC,) announces Kathleen Ann Cain as the new Executive Director for the non-profit organization.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are very pleased to have Kathleen joining the Healthy Start Coalition. Her outstanding expertise in providing accountability, strategic planning, and clinical and business initiatives to IRCHSC, as well as her knowledge of health care and non-profit organizations, while coupled with an extraordinary management style, makes her the perfect fit for this organization,” stated Robinson.

Ms. Cain is a twenty year resident of Vero Beach, less several years spent in Baltimore, MD to receive an M.B.A. in Medical Services Management at Johns Hopkins University.

She has also received an M.S. in Health Care Services Administration from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL and a B.S. in Health Information Administration from Seattle University in Seattle, WA.

Her previous affiliations in Vero Beach have been as a private Health and Management Consultant, the Practice Manager at Urgent Care West, as well as the Administrator and Business Manager of Vero Orthopaedics.

“I have a passion for serving our community to assure all pregnant mothers and their infant children receive the educational and support services necessary for a healthy start.

My vision is to see the Coalition as a vital partner collaborating with other community service organizations to resolve problems or issues that arise within a maternal and child health care delivery system with effective, positive change in Indian River County.

I believe this is what non-profits are all about; providing the resources to individuals who need crucial educational and financial assistance to succeed. The return on investment for the community is multifold in the way we live and work.

I look forward to building a strong development program for IRCHSC, as well as delivering a high standard of services and resources for the benefit of all the mothers and their babies in this community,” explained Cain.

The IRC Healthy Start Coalition develops, evaluates, and funds a full spectrum of services to support pregnant women’s health, baby’s health, and families parenting young children.

The office is located at 333 17th St., Ste. R, in Vero Beach, just west of the Alma Lee Loy Bridge.
