Jacqueline Frances McCracken, 84, died Feb. 27, 2013, at her home.
She was raised in Rockville Centre and Southampton, N.Y., and moved to Vero Beach in 1979.
She was a founding member of the Vero Beach Museum Of Art (formally The Center for the Arts), serving one year as president of its Community Committee.
She also served as president of St. Edward’s School’s Parents Association.
She hosted ARC’s Million Dollar Dinner, Republican Women’s Aware’s Christmas House, Indian River Garden’s Club Annual Flower Show and Vero Beach Art Museum “Dining Around.”
She was a member of the Holy Cross Women’s Guild, Republican Women’s Aware and Jasmine Circle Garden Club.
She was a former member of the Moorings Club and Riomar Bay Yacht Club.
She attended Blackstone College, Blackstone, Va.; College of New Rochelle, New Rochelle, N.Y.; and Parsons School of Design, New York City.
Survivors include her daughter, Patrice Richards, of Savannah, Ga.; sons, Scott McCracken, of Vero Beach and Peter McCracken, of Shelter Island, N.Y.; sister, Sister Victoria Busch, of Tarrytown, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Stanley McCracken.

A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. March 7 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
