Matthew Stanley Harbourt Jr., 85, died Feb. 26, 2013, at the VNA/Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He was born in Titusville, N.J., and lived in Vero Beach for 61 years, coming from his birthplace.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
He was a station agent for Eastern Air Lines in Vero Beach for 23 years and Melbourne for 13 years.
He was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Hilda Carlsward, of Vero Beach; son, Matthew S. Harbourt III, of Charleston, S.C.; daughter, Elizabeth “Susie” Harbourt-Gnann, of Linville Falls, N.C.; sister, Ernestine “Honey” Betor, of Titusville, N.J.; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Olaf Harbourt of Titusville, N.J.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. March 2 at Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach.
