Tito Fernandez, 69, died Feb. 26, 2013, at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce.
He was born in Cuba and lived in Vero Beach for six months, coming from Tobyhanna, Pa.
Before retirement, he worked for Merck Pharmaceuticals for seven years.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Miriam Fernandez, of Vero Beach; sons, Michael and Henry Fernandez, both of Vero Beach; daughters, Ashleigh and Faith Fernandez, both of Vero Beach; sisters, Anna Paradez, of Miami and Hilda Rozalez, of Elizabeth, N.J.; brother, Manual Virelles, of Miami; and 12 grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. March 2, with a service starting at 2 p.m. at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach.
