Just when I thought I’ve seen everything… something else shocks me in the social media industry.
Recently, I tried to send a link to a person on facebook that I wasn’t connected to. And a message bellow from facebook popped up (see image to the left.)
Pay $1 to make sure it goes to their inbox, or don’t pay a buck and let it go to their “other folder.” Here is a link describing the “other folder” – http://on.fb.me/YD6J0u
For the love of God, it costs less than $1 to send a letter.
I understand businesses need to make money, I actually like the birthday idea. Anymore, I just buy gift cards for people’s birthdays anyway.
But, this $1 message option just rubbed me the wrong way. I’m sure this won’t be the last you hear of this. Hopefully, like Makers Mark Whisky trying to reduce its alcohol content, this too will go back to the way things should be.
