Galen T. Burt, 93, died Feb. 15, 2013, at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
He was born in Ohio and lived in Vero Beach and Sebastian for more than 20 years, coming from Delray Beach.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Before retirement he was the owner and operator of a tire sales business.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Sebastian, where he served as the chaplain for the lodge.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife of more than 20 years, Nina Weich Burt; stepson, James Moran of Fort Lauderdale; and son, A.J. Alkayaly of Vero Beach.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
No services are planned at this time.
