INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Nine-year-old Faith Rose Mueller has proven that you’re never too young to help out others in need.
On her birthday, Saturday, Feb. 16, Faith wanted to celebrate her special day at the Skate Factory in Vero Beach with close friends and family as well as her classmates from Glendale Christian School.
Learning from her mother, Lynn Mueller, and her mother’s volunteer days with the Indian River County Healthy Start Coalition (IRCHSC) and their TLC Newborn program, Faith sent out party invitations that noted she was holding a baby drive for IRCHSC.
Instead of gifts, please bring baby diapers or baby food. There are a lot of people in need, so let’s make people happy, noted the invitations.
Nearly twenty attendees skated their day away at the venue while displaying a table full of diapers, baby food, toys, books, and other vital baby supplies that later got delivered to the Healthy Start Coalition office.
“Faith’s birthday wish for making other people happy came true. Many newborns will have the supplies they need because of her party. The coalition is grateful to Faith for her big, giving heart,” expressed IRCHSC Executive Director Kathie Cain.
In the end, Faith Rose did receive many wonderful personal gifts from her family that included dolls, crafts, games, and with her newfound love of astronomy she received a telescope, and then a large thanks from the Healthy Start Coalition.
IRCHSC welcome donations like Faith’s.
