VERO BEACH — The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office is seeking two suspects wanted in the armed robbery of the Vero Beach Game Stop on State Road 60 Tuesday morning. The suspects are accused of tying up a store employee.

No injuries were reported in the robbery, which occurred around 10:30 a.m.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, two customers walked into the store as the two suspects were leaving. The customers told investigators that they didn’t realize a robbery had just taken place.

One customer told investigators that one of the suspects was carrying a large box and said something to the effect of, “Someone will be right with you,” as he left.

The Sheriff’s Office has released the following suspect descriptions:

Each suspect was in possession of a gun. One was seen with a rifle or shotgun, while the other had a handgun, possibly a revolver.

The suspects left in an unknown direction of travel. As of now, it is unknown if they left in a vehicle or on foot.

A couple minutes after the suspects left, the employee was able to free himself and told the customers what had happened and called 911.

The Sheriff’s Office reported that the suspects removed the video surveillance DVR device from a shelf and threw it to the ground in an apparent attempt to destroy it. The DVR is being examined by one of department’s forensic computer specialists to determine if any video of the suspects can be retrieved.

Further updates will be released as they become available.
