VERO BEACH — The Republican Women of Indian River filled the Grand Harbor room to capacity for their Elegant Elephant Fashion Show and Luncheon on Saturday, Feb. 9.
The stores who shared their beautiful fashions and jewelry were Blondies on Ocean, Dede’s, I’ll Never Tell, Posh, Talulah’s Boutique, and Whimsy.
Chairs Betsy Craun and Pat Stelz used their creative energy and tireless attention to detail to have each table with a centerpiece of a uniquely designed elephant by many of the members of RWIR and artist friends.
Roni Fuster put together a phenomenal silent auction that had everyone bidding.
Marcia Littlejohn added just the right excitement to the fashions for the beautiful Republican models: Georgia Haridopolos, Rep. Gayle Harrell, Carole Jean Jordan, Alla and Jennifer Kramer, Diamond Litty, Rep. Debbie Mayfield, Susan O’Bryan, Katie Posey, Jackie Solari, Leslie Swan, Pilar Turner, and Bobbie Winger.
Proceeds from the Elegant Elephant help to provide scholarships to graduating seniors, leadership award to a student who promotes Republican principles, flags on the Barber and Alma Lee Loy Bridges, a party for our senior citizens at St. Francis Manor, and packages to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan each month.
