Doreya F. Batista, 91, died Feb. 13, 2013, at her home.
She was born in Cienfuegos, Cuba, and lived in Sebastian for 15 years, coming from Miami.
Before retirement, she was an elementary school teacher in Miami and later worked for the Diario Las Americas Newspaper as a translator.
Survivors include her son, Mario A. Batista, of Miami; brother, Armando Delafuente, of St. Petersburg; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Max C. Batista.
A gathering will be from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Feb. 23 at Seawinds Funeral Home, Sebastian, with a memorial service to follow in the chapel at 1 p.m.
