Irene L. Steele died Feb. 12, 2013, at her home. She was born in Cincinnati and lived in Vero Beach for five years, coming from Kentucky.
Survivors include her daughter, Priscilla Valentino, of Vero Beach; son, Gregory Steele, of the Ukraine; brother, James Hemphill, of Boca Raton; sister, Jeannette Pitts, of Lawrenceburg, Ind.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A gathering will be from 2 to 4 p.m., Feb. 24 at Heritage Plantation Clubhouse, Vero Beach.
