SunUp ARC announces four new members on Board of Directors

VERO BEACH — The SunUp ARC Board of Directors, Mary Beth Vallar (chairperson,) Reese Brackins (vice chairperson,) Harry Largey (Treasurer,) Dick Pippert (Secretary,) Dr. Hal Brown, Mike Burns, Brian Connelly, Mary Jacoby, Patricia Moody (Advocate,) Dick Picken, and Dr. Ed Smith are pleased to welcome our four new board members: Joan Black, Jim Davis, Cynthia Webb-Haskett, and Cathy LaCroix.

When asked to join the board at SunUp ARC, the newest board members had this to say:

“Challenged individuals and those with special needs are very dear to me and working with them brings a special joy to my life,” explained Joan Black.

“I would like to help facilitate construction of needed housing and infrastructure for those with special needs,” Jim Davis said. 

“I hope that I may be an asset to the organization,” Cynthia Haskett added.

“My greatest pleasure is working with nonprofit agencies to help people who are less fortunate,” stated Cathy LaCroix.

“We are very fortunate to have such a strong, committed working Board of Directors,” Executive Director Chuck Bradley added.

SunUp ARC operates on three campuses; two in Vero Beach and one in Sebastian.

Services include: Adult Day Training; Behavior Services including Behavior Analysis Services and Behavior Assistant Services; Residential Group Homes; Supported Living Services; In-Home Supports and Personal Care Assistance; Transportation; Supported Employment, and Respite Care.

A highly experienced staff of certified professionals provide care to individuals with the goal of enabling each person to reach his or her potential and to lead a rich and fulfilling life.

SunUp ARC is a Non-Profit, 501(C)3 agency dedicated to meeting the needs of people with developmental disabilities in Indian River County.
