Stephen Joseph Catandella Sr., 83, died Feb. 8, 2013. He was born in Bridgeport, Conn., and lived Vero Beach, coming from Pompano.
He retired from the automobile wholesale business in 1989.
He served in the U.S. Military Academy Band at West Point, N.Y.
He graduated from the University School in Connecticut and attended the Juilliard School of Music.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Julie Anthony Catandella; daughter, Christy Menillo, of Fairfield, Conn.; sons, Stephen Catandella Jr., of Vero Beach, John Catandella, of Hillsboro, Ore., and Kenneth Catandella, of Fairfield; brother, George Catandella, of Punta Gorda; 16 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Services will be private.
