Catherine B. Ausby, 77, died Feb. 7, 2013, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
She was born in Cordele, Ga., and lived in Indian River County from age nine.
Before retirement, she was a certified nurse’s assistant at Indian River Medical Center.
She was a member of the Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church and of the GYAC Special K Fitness Group.
Survivors include her sons, Earl D. Ausby, of Charleston, S.C., Steven D. Ausby, of Vero Beach and Marlon Ausby, of San Antonio; daughters, Evelena Ausby, of Atlanta; Cynthia Parker, of Holland, Mich., Victoria McCloud, of Lantana, Toni Ausby, of Vero Beach and Paula Dudley, of Wabasso; sister, Lillie Pearl Young, of Vero Beach; 11 grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marilyn Ann Ausby; brothers, Jesse Lee Brown, John L. Brown and Willie Warren Brown; and a sister, Ethel Mae Chambliss.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 15 at Stone Brothers Funeral Chapel in Vero Beach.
A service will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 16 at Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Vero Beach.
Burial will follow in Gifford Cemetery.
