Bennet “Ben” Carter, 57, died Feb. 10, 2013, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
He was born in Melbourne and was a lifelong resident of Vero Beach.
He worked for many years as a cable installer for Florida Cable Vision, United Artist, which then became known as Comcast.
He also worked as a projectionist at the Vero Drive In and the Florida Theatre.
He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Vero Beach.
He was a member, KD4VAA, of the Amateur Radio Club of Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Jamie Carter, of Vero Beach; sons, Timothy Carter, of Inverness and Brandon Carter, of Vero Beach; daughter, Stephanie Carter, of Vero Beach; sister, Debra Rice, of South Carolina; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Hazel Webb.
A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 16 at the First Church of the Nazarene, Vero Beach.
Arrangements are by Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach.
