Bruce Allan Thompson, 59, died Feb. 6, 2013, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
He was born in Vero Beach and was a lifetime resident.
He worked as a skilled carpenter and also specialized in building custom cabinets, and he was an artist.
He was a member of Central Assembly of God, Vero Beach.
Survivors include his daughter, Summer Thompson, of Vero Beach; son, USMC Cpl. Justus Thompson, of California; brothers, Bill Thompson, of Mobile, Ala., Richard Thompson and Robert Thompson, both of Vero Beach, and Larry Thompson, of Portland, Ore.; sister, Joanne Harrison, of Vero Beach; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Melenda Thompson; and son, T.C. Thompson.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home, Vero Beach.
