Edward Dillard Sr., 60, died Jan. 25, 2013, at his home. He was born in Vero Beach and was a native of Indian River County.
He earned his bachelor of science degree from Bethune Cookman University and FAMU.
He was an entrepreneur in the landscaping industry.
Survivors include his son, Edward Dillard, of Vero Beach; daughter, Afina McCunn, of Vero Beach; father, Henry Dillard Jr., of Vero Beach; brothers, the Rev. Joseph W. Dillard, of Atlanta, Henry Dillard III, of Vero Beach and Vernon Dillard, of Fort Pierce; sisters, Elma G. McKissic, of Miami, Ernestine Modest, of Rochester, N.Y., Claudia M. Franklin, of Miami and Adonia Adeshile, Samatha Dillard, Nickie Norris, Shelia Hurley and Christi Moore, all of Vero Beach; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth LambServices:
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 2 at St. Peter’s Missionary Baptist Church, Gifford.
Burial will follow in Gifford Cemetery.
