VERO BEACH — Darby Fine Art located at 1902 14th Ave. in Vero’s Arts District is excited to present two new exhibits for the First Friday Gallery Stroll Feb. 1 from 5-8 p.m.
Darby proudly introduces new work by nationally recognized painter Doraté. Her award winning style is one of exuberance and use of vivid colors.
Whether the subject is an impressionistic landscape, a mystical image, or a dramatic abstract, Doratés paintings invariably project a rich feeling of well-being.
Doraté is a signature member of the Southern and Baltimore Watercolor Societies. Her work is displayed in private and commercial venues throughout the U.S.
International painter Minakshi De, a recent exhibitor at this year’s Art Miami show, will also present an exhibition of her recent work.
Recognized for her stylized representation of bodies in action, Mina’s preference for stylization lies in the tenets of expressionism, with gestural brushwork, within the existence of colors on a textured surface and a deviation of form from retinal reality.
Her work is influenced by the style of Indian miniature paintings from the 11th and 12th century and creates an impression on the viewer’s mind.
Along with the two new exhibitions, Darby favorite Julia Kelly will be available to autograph her book “Feast of Famine – Growing Up Bohemian in Provincetown,” which is a personal story about her artistic family and the many impressions that have shaped her painting career.
