Carl Hefferon, 83, died Jan. 23, 2013, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
He was born in Livingston County, Mich., and lived in Vero Beach for 23 years, coming from Waterford, Mich.
He was an Army veteran, having served in the Korean War.
He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was of Catholic faith and a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Vero Beach.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Hefferon in 2001.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Feb. 7 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Vero Beach.
