Bohdon “Bob” Skalacki, 80, died Jan. 22, 2013, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
He was born in New York City and lived in Vero Beach since 1991, coming from Long Island, N.Y.
He worked as a controller in the banking industry.
He was a Navy veteran, serving during the Korean War.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Vero Beach.
Survivors include his daughters, Mary Beth Higgins, Ann Louise Skalacki and Justine Higgins, all of Vero Beach, and Julie Ann Skalacki of Long Island, N.Y.; sons, John R. Skalacki and Brendan W. Skalacki, both of Long Island, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Catherine “Pat” Skalacki.
Memorial contributions may be made to a trust account at PNC Bank, 958 20th Place, Vero Beach, FL 32960 for the care of his handicapped daughter.
At the request of the family a memorial service will be at a later date.
