Ruth Sparkman, 84, died Jan. 20, 2013, in Vero Beach.
She was a lifetime resident of Vero Beach.
Before retirement in 1993, she worked for F.W. Woolworth in Vero Beach for 33 years.
She graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1946.
Survivors include her sons Kenny Hamilton, of Fellsmere and Stan Sparkman, of Sebastian; daughter, Susan Hearndon, of Vero Beach; and sister, Claudia Luikart, of Fort Pierce.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerrell Sparkman; and son, Doug Sparkman.

A commencement ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. Jan. 27 at the Cornerstone Baptist Fellowship Sebastian, with the Rev. Stanley Sparkman officiating.
