Lilly Bell York, 83, died Jan. 19, 2013, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
She was born in Vero Beach and was a lifetime resident.
Before retirement, she was a beautician for more than 50 years.
She was a member of Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church where she served as chairperson of the finance committee, adult Sunday school teacher and member of the mixed choir.
She was a member of the Gifford Cemetery Club where she served as financial secretary and treasurer.
She was a 1948 graduate of Gifford High School.
Survivors include her sons, Antonio C. York, of Vero Beach and Vincent L. York, of Ann Arbor, Mich.; daughters, Millicent York Chancellor, of Houston and Joan A. York, of Vero Beach; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George York; brother, Charlie Evans Jr.; and sister, Lottie Louise Evans.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Jan. 25 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Vero Beach.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 26 at Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Gifford.
Burial will follow in Gifford Cemetery.
