Gallery 14 presents Dramatic Interpretations Jan. 29 – Feb. 23

VERO BEACH — Gallery 14 presents Dramatic Interpretations: work by Emily Heinzel and I. Joseph. The show will run from Jan. 29 through Feb. 23 with a reception, as part of the First Friday Gallery Stroll, on Friday, Feb. 1, from 5-8 p.m.

Emily Heinzel explores nature with colored wax pencils on wood, layering color over color until the wood panels are so completely covered with pencil, many think they are paintings.

I. Joseph’s eclectic views of people, nature, animals, historic scenes, and spiritual inspirations enchant the eye with interplay of color, often juxtaposed with black and white mystical backgrounds.

The exhibit will also feature work by Gallery 14 artist partners: Edgardo Abello, Lila Blakeslee, Cheri Cruden, Barbara du Pont, Mary Ann Hall, Virginia Knapp, Barbara Landry, Deborah Morrell Polackwich, and Dorothy Napp Schindel.

Also showing are the gallery’s represented artists: Bryan Beck, glass sculpture; Joan Earnhart, assemblage; Carol Staub, mixed media; Francis Mesaros, sculpted oil; and Viola Pace Knudsen, fine art baskets.

Gallery 14 is located at 1911 14th Ave. in the Historic Downtown Arts District of Vero Beach.
