DeFrances places first and second in design competition

VERO BEACH — Lisa DeFrances, ASID, President of L.K. DeFrances & Associates, took both first and second place honors in the 2012 Annual ASID Design Competition, Florida North Chapter in the residential category, 2,500 to 5,000 square feet.

The Vero-based design firm submitted a John’s Island residence and an oceanfront condominium.

In addition, Ms. DeFrances recently attended Maison d’objet in Paris, France. The event, translated “Objects for the home,” is one of the world’s largest trade shows for professionals from the field of home fashion and design.

In addition to offering seminars about upcoming trends in home fashion through the European point of view with a look into future trends, Maison d’objet serves as a unique opportunity for design professionals to interact with importers and exporters.

Ms. DeFrances has been a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers for more than 20 years and has owned the residential and commercial design firm of L.K. DeFrances & Associates since 2001.

She is licensed by the State Board of Architecture and Interior Design to practice interior design and is certified by the National Council for Interior Design Qualifications.
