Hazele Hogan Barrett, 97, died Jan. 14, 2013, at Indian River Medical Center. She was born in Jacksonville and had been a resident of Indian River County since 1920, coming from Wellborn.
She owned and operated a retail business.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vero Beach.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward, Ray and Roy Hogan; and sisters, Mamie, Myrtle and Ethel.
Survivors include her son, J. Timothy Barrett, of Vero Beach.

At the request of the family, services will be held at a later date.
