Geraldine “Jerry” Haag Longbine, 87, died Jan. 19, 2013, at home with family.
She graduated from Irondequoit High School in Rochester, N.Y., in 1942, and then pursued a career in nursing.
She graduated from Genessee Hospital School of Nursing, in Rochester.
She worked in nursing for 20 years.
She had lived part time in the Vero Beach area since 1981, and was a full time resident of Vero Beach for the past 20 years.
She was a Silver Life Master in duplicate bridge and choir director and church soloist for various Presbyterian churches.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Robert Longbine, of Vero Beach; daughters, Linda Ownbey, of Seneca, S.C., Laurie Puccini, of Savannah, Ga., Karen Jordan, of Johns Creek, Ga., and Ellen Waugh, of Easton, Conn., seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Vero Beach Bridge Center, 1520 14th Ave., Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
