SEBASTIAN — Dr. Fran Adams, Superintendent of Schools, has been notified by Michael Stutzke, Athletic Director, that Terri Amy, Sebastian River High School Girls Basketball Coach, has been named the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) 2012 Coach of the Year for the State of Florida in the sport of Girls Basketball.
The NFHS recognizes coaches at the state, sectional, and national levels.
“This award is a wonderful reflection on our school and our girls basketball program,” said Mr. Stutzke.
“Coach Amy continues to excel, and I send her my congratulations on this newest award,” Dr. Adams added.
The Sebastian River High School 2011-2012 Girls Basketball team won the 7A Girls Basketball State Championship.
Coach Amy was named the 7A Girls Basketball 2012 Coach of the Year.
Ms. Amy will receive an award certificate from the NFHS for this recognition.
