Alice Marie Talbot, 86, died Jan. 15, 2013, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
She was born in Chicago and lived in Vero Beach since 2012, coming from Georgetown.
She earned her associate degree from North Park College, Chicago.
She worked as an editor with AWANA Clubs, Rolling Meadows, Ill.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Crescent City, where she taught the women’s adult Sunday school class and continued working there with the children until moving to Vero Beach.
She volunteered for more than 20 years at Silver Birch Ranch, Wisconsin.
Survivors include her sons, James Talbot, of Buford, Ga., John Talbot, of Rock Hill, S.C., and Jeff Talbot, of Highland Village, Texas; daughters, Carol Strunk-Artigas, of Vero Beach, Nancy Talbot-VanSteenberg, of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Janis Johnson, of Schaumburg, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Talbot.
There will be a service at First Baptist Church, Crescent City, at a later date.
Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
