VERO BEACH — All parents and children are welcome to attend the Parent Academy Workshop event entitled Roller-Coaster Years, Helping You and Your Tweens/Teens Survive. . . and Thrive!
The free dinner and program, offered by Parent Academy, will be held at Storm Grove Middle School on Tuesday, Jan. 22, from 5:30–7:30 p.m.
Please RSVP the number of adults and children online at http://goo.gl/qGTpe or call (772) 231-5799.
This program is designed to provide skills and insights families need to ride out the chills, spills, and thrills of middle school years. Break-out sessions include: keeping a step ahead by grasping the milestones of adolescence; getting on top of the digital divide; creating a rapport that’s like insurance against risky behaviors; and keeping a secret.
These are spectacular, fun years, so come and understand, appreciate, and help young and older adolescents.
Remaining parenting workshops, provided by the Connected 4 Kids Coalition, include Promoting Positive Behavior in Children to be held at Glendale Elementary, Monday, Feb. 25, and Prevent Summer Brain Drain! at Pelican Island Elementary, Tuesday, April 23.
