Douglas Donald McCollam, 58, died Jan. 10, 2013, at the Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
He was born in Davenport, Iowa, and lived in Vero Beach for four years, coming from Iowa.
He served in the Navy aboard a nuclear submarine.
Before retirement, he managed Liberty Lanes Bowling Center in West Liberty, Iowa, and later worked as a machinist.
Survivors include his son, McKenzie McCollam, of West Liberty, Iowa; father, James H. McCollam, of Vero Beach; and sisters, Connie J. Shumate and Patricia J. Bowser, both of Vero Beach.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara M. McCollam.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach.
