Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign up 10% from 2011

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Salvation Army of Indian River County increased its total from its 2011 campaign by 10%, raising $110,212, which is $6,000 over last year’s amount.

This sum was an increase in totals for the 3rd year in a row. The Salvation Army of IRC was just short of its goal of $130,000.

The pocket change from the community made the difference. The generosity of IRC came through during a tough economic time to help the army “do the most good” this holiday season.

The Red Kettle Campaign is the major fundraiser for The Salvation Army and helps to support all our programs for the entire calendar year.

The Salvation Army is only as successful as its generous donors and community members allow it to be. Without the help and support of this community, we would never have been able to increase our totals each year.

A huge thank you goes out to our kettle sponsors: Jack FM, Velde Ford, Mayflower Society, Vero Beach Christian Business Assoc., Spring Hill Suites, Christian FM, Ocean FM, FPL, The Crockett Group, The Vero Beach Rotary Charities Foundation, along with all the individuals who followed the sponsors’ lead by making donations to the Red Kettle Campaign during the past six weeks.

We’re sending out a special thank you to the Indian River County Sheriffs Dept.
