William L. Hill Jr., 79, died Jan. 7, 2013, at Consulate Health Care.
He was born in New York and lived in Vero Beach for 40 years, coming from New Jersey.
He worked as a horticulturist specializing in orchids and was a member of the American Orchid Society.
He was a member of the Christ By the Sea Methodist Church, Vero Beach.
Survivors include his daughter, Pat Moon, of Vero Beach; sister, Ann O’Brien, of Sebastian; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 10 in the memorial garden of Christ By the Sea Methodist Church in Vero Beach.
Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach.
