Learn about Habitat for Humanity’s Nepal experience Jan. 18

VERO BEACH — The October Habitat Global Village Everest Build in Nepal was the experience of a lifetime for 14 Indian River Habitat volunteers and staff; an adventure the participants are eager to share.

At Noon on Jan. 18, those interested in hearing more about the 400+ person, 40-home build in the Himalayan foothills are invited to a Lunch-and-Learn at the Habitat for Humanity Burnham Center, 4568 N. US 1 in Vero Beach.

Bring a brown bag lunch and hear members of the local team share their collective and individual experiences as they helped build an adobe dwelling for a young Nepali family; two teachers and their small daughter.

You will view slides of the Habitat for Humanity International Everest Build II in which volunteers from all over the U.S. joined others from Nepal, Australia, New Zealand, and Great Britain as you learn more about Habitat’s global outreach.
