Walter C. Jones Jr., 81, died Dec. 27, 2012, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
He was born in Johnstown, Pa., and lived in Vero Beach since 1994.
He worked as an electrician in steel production for many years.
He was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach, and attended Lakeside Fellowship, Vero Beach, with his daughter. Survivors include his sons, Walter of Charlotte, N.C., Joseph Theodore of York, Pa., Herbert George of Elkton, Md., and Andrew James of Johnstown; daughters, Rose Mary Parkinson of Sebastian and Jennifer Joyce of York; and 17 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Leona Rose; and son, Bernard John.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lakeside Fellowship Church, 8000 66th Ave., Vero Beach, FL 32967.
A gathering will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Jan. 2 with a memorial service at 7 p.m. at the Lakeside Fellowship Church.
An inurnment will be at a later date in South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth.
